Downeast Fisheries Trail

DFT logo

Our Downeast Fisheries Center is one of the first stops on the Downeast Fisheries Trail, a series of both historical and active fisheries-related sites stretching from Penobscot Bay to Cobscook Bay. Because marine resources are such an integral part of the culture and economy of Downeast Maine, the Downeast Fisheries Trail aims to connect and build on these local resources to both strengthen Eastern Maine communities and enhance the experiences of visitors to the region. The Downeast Fisheries Trail website provides current and historical descriptions of a selection of Maine’s fisheries, educational resources, and an events calendar. The trail sites can be seen below.
